Meet Melissa Purcell
Melissa has worked as a psychologist in private practice in the western suburbs of Adelaide since 2013. She graduated with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from The University of Adelaide in 2009 and began her career working for the SA Government in Child Protection and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. Melissa sees psychotherapy as a vehicle for self-understanding and personal transformation, which contributes to better relationships and resilient and harmonious communities. Her approach is sensitive and flexible to the needs and personality of the client encompassing a range of evidence-based therapies. People come to see Melissa with varied issues such as: stress and burnout, anxiety, depression, trauma, loss and grief, addiction, self esteem and body image, problems at school or work, separation and divorce, difficulties in family relationships, gender and sexuality. Her interests include women’s mental health, yoga, meditation and buddhism, and environmental activism. |
