Somatic Experiencing

“Trauma need not be a life sentence. Of all the maladies that attack the human organism, trauma may ultimately be one that is recognized as beneficial. I say this because in the healing of trauma, a transformation takes place – one that can improve the quality of life.”

Compassionate Inquiry

Compassionate inquiry is a therapy approach created by Dr. Gabor Maté and Sat Dharam Kaur that helps clients gain insight into their current behaviors and beliefs. The client is encouraged to bring a specific intention to each session. The client determines how much to engage in the session and may request to stop at any time. The therapist may interrupt the client during the session to bring the client into awareness of the present moment and to body sensations and emotions.
