In-person counselling is a free, short-term counselling service for carers who are experiencing difficulties with anxiety, stress, depression, grief and loss and low mood as a result of their caring role.
Our team of professional counsellors can help you, as a carer, manage your own mental health in order to remain effective in your caring role and avoid crisis. Counselling can equip you with the techniques to handle the lows as well as the highs, and to balance caring with the rest of your life. Our counsellors are familiar with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, the LGBTI community, the different needs of younger carers and an awareness of people living with a disability and their needs. We can also offer counselling in languages other than English and/or access an interpreter. Please contact us today to learn more about our in-person counselling service. If you are experiencing a personal crisis and need immediate support, you can call Lifeline on 13 11 14. |
